It looks like Microsoft is pushing a new, but minor, update to its Windows Phone operating system in some European countries. WPCentral.com reports that folks in Italy have the new update, OS build 8107, for their LG Optimus 7 devices. The update comes with a list of what's changed and new in this update.
As one might expect, this new version is basically a patch to fix a number of bugs and issues. One of the bug fixes supposedly deals with the "disappearing touch screen keyboard" problem that has been reported on smartphones with Windows Phone 7.5 installed. It also deals with a problem with syncing a user's Gmail client.
There's also an email fix for users of Microsoft Exchange Server 2003 in this new update along with a fix related to a notification of voicemail. The new build also pulls the certificates issued by DigiCert Sdn Bhd "to solve a problem of encryption". Finally the new update deals with a location problem with WiFI access points and antennas.
There's no word as to when Microsoft plans to release this new version of Windows Phone 7.5 out to other wireless carriers, including any of the phones here in the US.
